We're a close-knit and active mixed house on the University of Twente campus. There are 14 of us living here. This might seem like a lot, but in practice, it mainly means there's always someone in the living room to watch TV with or have a nice chat. Everyone cooks once a week, which means you can usually easily join in after a hard day at university. We don't take dietary preferences or habits into account. Even though we don't have a fixed house evening, we do enjoy doing things together. For example, we all go on a house weekend together every year, we celebrate Sinterklaas promptly on December 5th, and we traditionally have Christmas dinner sometime in March. We also have a few traditions, where former housemates love to come over for a cozy evening with their former housemates! After dinner, we like to chat and play a board game, have a drink, go on pub quizzes, or simply see where the evening takes us (these are often the best evenings). We also sometimes go to the library for a group study session to earn the necessary credits. Besides being active indoors, everyone in our house is involved in student life through student and/or sports clubs, fraternities, bands, committees, etc. Despite having a house full of students, we all still manage to keep it reasonably clean.
