The North Devon coast is also just over two miles away, meaning you can hop in a car to reach the surfing hub of Saunton Sands, the pretty dunes of Croyde Beach and the colourful beach huts of Woolacombe. And, when you come back home after your adventures, there's no better place to curl up than in the wood-panelled living room – we recommend savouring some Devon scones with cream and jam as you do.
