It’s the perfect holiday home for large groups as there are separate living areas – the studio apartment is ideal for those with a baby hoping for some space of their own.
The interior is bright and cool, with beamed ceilings and huge windows that make it a real island retreat. Wake up in the morning to the sun streaming onto your pillow, and make your way straight out onto the terrace to stretch and breathe in the warm, sweet-scented air.
The pool overlooks the sea, with mountain views and neighbouring islands dotted around on the horizon. There’s a sense of real tranquillity here, but you’re not far from the action. It’s just a nine-minute walk into the centre of Kampos, where you’ll find a tavern, bar and a playground. Skala, the main town, is a ten-minute drive away, so you can easily stock up on food. Kampos Beach is the most popular sandy stretch on the island, and it’s just five minutes by car from the villa.
The magnificent Monastery of St John – a site of pilgrimage – is just fourteen minutes away. This historic spot is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is breath-takingly beautiful. After your visit, call into a taverna for a lunch of meze – this is what holidays are all about.
