Once the capital of Santorini, Pyrgos now boasts the privileged position as the highest village on the entire island, perched proudly on the slopes of Mount Profitis Ilias. Nothing showcases the charm of Pyrgos quite like this sumptuous six-bedroom estate, idyllically nestled in rolling hills and vineyards and offering panoramic views out to the Aegean Sea.
Set across three levels, each with a separate entrance, the amphitheatrical design pays homage to the layout of Pyrgos itself. Though the exterior's powder blue shutters and stone walls are reminiscent of traditional villas, inside elegant furnishings fuse with vibrant fixtures that pack a punch in character. With six spacious bedrooms, five bathrooms and a sofa bed, there's enough room for thirteen guests.
The real highlight is the outdoor space, with three swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a sauna. We love the home's multiple verandas and pergolas, offering ample space to soak up the sea views or cool down in the shade. There's also a small outdoor gym, massage canopy and a barbecue - perfect for sunset cookouts with the whole gang in tow.
With the village of Pyrgos a short stroll away, you're never too far from restaurants, cafes and culture. Though if you fancy venturing further afield, the beautiful capital, Fira, and the crystal clear waters of Perivolos Beach are a fifteen-minute drive away.
