Walk the short sixteen minutes to El Retiro Park – once exclusively open to royalty – and admire the stunning fountains and statues of Spanish heroes as you take a leisurely stroll. Then, why not stop for a coffee or a bite to eat in one of the park’s open-air cafes before continuing with the rest of your plans.
Utilise the great public transport links and visit the Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace, both of which can be reached in twenty to thirty minutes. Or, stay closer to home to peruse the many art galleries in the area which can be reached in as little as four minutes by foot.
In the late afternoon, why not take a reinvigorating siesta or relax on the internal balcony – which opens up via French doors from the living space – and offers not only a delightfully bright place to enjoy the views but also shelters you from the elements on rainy days.
