It's a bit further out at a twenty-nine-minute drive, but Calhau da Lapa is unmissable. Considered one of Maderia's hidden gems – its crystal clear waters, volcanic cliffs and enchanting waterfall make it worth the trip. Always make it home for sunset, though.
