When you've been traversing the slopes for hours, you need a restful haven to retire to in the evenings. This home in Baqueira – at the foot of the cable car – is exactly the place. Warmed by the gentle embers of the fireplace, adorned in comfy furniture and decorated with wooden fittings, it's a tranquil sanctuary at the base of the slopes.
It's centred around an airy living room, which is probably where you'll spend most of your time. It's a room that radiates in the morning with the winter sun pouring through the window. Start your days here on the dining table with an omelette and a coffee, watching the mountains wake up through the windows.
After a hearty breakfast, get your skis on for a day mastering the pistes. There are restaurants and cafes dotted around the mountains to fuel you for further snowy adventures.
Once you've returned home after an exhausting day on the slopes, snuggle up on the sofas with a cup of hot chocolate. Catch a film on the TV, curl up with a book or just rest your head on the pillows to prepare yourself for the following day's adventures.
