In one direction, you’ve got the meandering trails of the Sierras de Tejeda
Mountains and in the other, it’s a leisurely walk to Nerja’s beachfront. Simplicity is the watchword, inside and out. The backyard is dominated by a shimmering swimming pool – as it should be in the southern Spanish heat. The huge, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room is sleek, if a little sparse – a place for folk that prefer clear surfaces, no clutter and plenty of sunlight streaming in through walls of glass. Up on the first floor, a balcony looks out over the sea.
*Although there is a bathroom on the ground-floor, all of the bedrooms are upstairs so this place may not suit those with limited mobility
*In the town of Nerja within walking distance of shops and restaurants, having a car is optional but there is off-road parking should you need it
*Your host can provide a complimentary cot and high chair – this must be requested at the time of booking, and you’ll need to bring your own cot linen
*The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
*Though there isn't a dedicated desk here, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace
