Found in Edinburgh's West End, this comfy flat is an ideal base for exploring one of the UK's most vibrant cities. Despite being in the basement, you'll still get some natural light here (when the sun breaks through the clouds, at least), but some rooms do get less than others. There's also a small courtyard, a rarity in the city centre. With two bathrooms, you'll be out the door quickly in the mornings, meaning you're well-primed to grab brunch at one of the neighbourhood cafes before exploring nearby Old Town.
*At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.
*Not photographed is the rear courtyard patio, which is accessed via the kitchen.
*This home is at the basement level, meaning there is no view from the windows. You'll need to use the stairs to reach the entrance.
*This home was designed for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space.
*Your host can provide a cot if you're travelling with little ones.
