This converted studio apartment in Alvor is located in the city center and only 5 minutes drive to the local beach. The apartment is close to all amenities because it is located in the centre of the town of Alvor. It is located within a private condominium, therefore has access to a private car park and a communal swimming pool. The house has modern furnishings and in the lounge there is a double sofa bed, a dining table for four and in the bedroom there is a double bed. It has an fully fitted open plan kitchen and one bathroom. Heating in the winter months is via oil heaters. It is located on the first floor, but the apartment complex has an elevator.
Very dependent on tourism, Alvor offers a variety of hotels with swimming pools and spas, a wide variety of restaurants and bars, excellent modern sporting infrastructure, and its stand-out feature, the beautiful beach ideal for swimming or walking. Alvor maintains a charm and simplicity typical of an authentic Portuguese fishing village, and is popular with tourists and new residents alike.
With about 7,000 inhabitants, Alvor has most basic services: supermarkets, a private hospital (very popular with foreigners), the municipal swimming pools, post office, pharmacies, etc. With regular public transport, any requirement which might not be met in Alvor, can easily be satisfied in Portimao.
