Nestled atop one of the coral stone ridges of Barbados, my home is located in a quiet suburban neighbourhood in the west central area in the parish of St. Michael. If you are in search of a nice, safe, tranquil, clean central location then look no further. I am retired now and love to garden and travel, listen to music, take photos, meet new people and write my blog. Whether you are visiting the island for business or pleasure my home is the perfect homestay for couples, family members or solo adventurers (especially ladies). I live on the lower level of the house with my dogs (no contact with guests) so can be readily available if needed. Guests have full access to the kitchen, living and dining areas and also the back patio. The kitchen is fully equipped and guests may prepare a sumptuous meal, but if you don't feel like cooking there is always KFC, Little Caesars Pizza, Chefette, Wing Kwong eateries just down the street. Just remember that you are responsible for your own meals. Serenity awaits you on the patio. The large breezy patio is perfect for relaxing and putting your feet up, yoga, studying, reading a book , soaking up the afternoon sun ,admiring a lovely sunset, enjoying the cool Caribbean breeze while sipping a cocktail or just admiring the awesome view of the Harbour and the docked cruise ships or checking out interesting places as far away as the South Point Lighthouse on the south coast. You may even be lucky to see our local neighbourhood green monkey troop “Brazen Monkey and his Crew” running across the garden wall in the early morning and again in the evening in search of supper With easy access to public transport via bus or minivan it's only 10 minutes to the city. Fifteen minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, supermarket, shopping centre, and banks. With my Langue Française, I welcome all French speaking guests. I pride myself in extending Individual care to each guest….I will check on you every day and be available to answer any questions and give advice on “What to Do in Barbados”….my motto....when you're here you're family. A paid taxi service for pickup and drop off is available however your arrival and departure info is required in advance. Please no smoking inside the room or the house itself. We are located about 15 minutes away from the US , British and Canadian Embassies, and Medical Centres, and about ten minutes from the University of the West Indies, The Central Archives, and the Belair Research Institute. I can offer my guests a large private room with two comfy twin beds with its own ensuite, tv, microwave, fridge, and a ceiling fan. Guests have their own keys. High speed wifi and a laundry service is available at a minimum cost. Cash payments only...no credit/debit cards accepted. Come knock on my door I'll be there to welcome you.
