Stayed here for one night. The room was fine but could have been cleaner. Okay location in walking distance from restaurants.

Famille très très sympa, bien situé, petit déjeuner correct. 2 problèmes, literie inconfortable et chambre un peu trop sombre. Du coup, peut être, un peu trop cher.

Rural Las Terrazas was a wonderful surprise to us. Maida helped create that experience. She arranged a hike for us to Baño San Juan (please do this! it's a bit expensive (18 cuc) but great!), a taxi collectivo to Havana and the rum, late at night, came for free. Thanks for that! She offers diner as well but we didn't make use of that, unfortunately. The casa is in a quiet place near the village, you can walk there in a few minutes. You'll wake up by the sound of the tocororo, Cuba's national bird, after which you are offered a fantastic breakfast (5 cuc, as usual). Our room was clean and had a good shower. There's good air-con but it's a bit noisy for the night.

We arrived after it had rained most of the day so the streets were a bit muddy. Maida offered a welcoming drink - hot coffee for the both of us! We felt at home immediately. She explained where to go and what to see in Las Terrazas. We stayed in her house in a large room with an even larger bathroom. Maida is a sweet person with a warm personality - same goes for her son and father. Oh, and she makes great breakfasts!

We had a very nice time here. This is one of the only (or maybe even the only?) homestays directly in Las terrazas. We had breakfast and dinner in the casa, which were really delicious and included a lot of local ingredients we never had before. Lots of hiking opportunities in the area.
