A really nice family! We felt very welcome, so that we came twice. We got a nice breakfast every morning and always fresh juice from the fruits that grow all around. In their own garden they have two big mango trees with the best tasting mangoes ever. They are really helpful with everything and a really good thing also is, that you can get bikes for driving around Santa Marta and to Varadero beach or wherever! We will definitely come back again!

Zwei Nächte in Santa Marta südlich von Varadero nach Ankunft in Kuba. Gäste wohnen ebenerdig in separatem Haus mit zwei Zimmern in ruhigem Quartier. Das Zimmer war geräumig mit zwei Betten (einfach + doppel). Dazu gehörte auch ein Küchenraum mit Tisch und Stühlen. Leider gab es Stechmücken, gegen die mich ein mitgebrachtes Moskitonetz schützte. Das reichhaltige Frühstück wurde vor der Tür auf gedecktem Sitzplatz mit Sicht auf den gepflegten Garten serviert. Moraima und Ramón waren überaus liebenswürdig, liessen mich per Taxi am Flughafen abholen (26 CUC) und sorgten auch für ein Taxi colectivo zur Viazul-Busstation in Varadero. Das Haus liegt unweit der Hauptstrasse Avenida Primera durch Santa Marta, auf der jederzeit günstige Transportmöglichkeiten nach Varadero zu finden sind. Ich fand es unterhaltsam, zu Fuss bis über die Brücke zum Touristenbus zu gehen (ca. 3 km, 40 Min.).

This was a great place to stay. Clean rooms, friendly hosts, just minutes from the beach, good restaurants and market. There were bicycles to go exploring and other modes of transportation close by.

We had the most lovely stay in Santa Marta! The room was really spacious and the beds were good. The included breakfast was great and we could even borrow their bikes to go to the beach! On top of that, the hosts were really kind, friendly and caring! It was one of the best stays we had in Cuba so far!
