We are a family of 4. We are situated in a typical country village called Lucan situated 20 mins bus ride from Dublin city centre, the area offer the best of Irish country living with the bonus of being located a short distance from Dublin city center. The area of Lucan offers many outdoor activities including the woodland walking trails of St Catherines park and the trails along the infamous River Liffey. Lucan village offers plenty of restaurants and cafe's and Liffeyvalley shopping center is only 5 mins away . There is an English school in Lucan village and this is only a 5 min walk from our house. Our home is a English and Italian speaking house. Our house is located beside Lucan golf club , there are many country lanes and the area is surrounded by farmland. I´ve spent a month and a half at Emanuela and Neil´s house and it has really been a fantastic experience. I felt like a member of the family. They helped me in everything I needed. The meals were delicious especially when we had pasta for dinner and every day I enjoyed breakfast with a big variety of food. They also prepared for me some delicious sandwiches with fruit and healthy snacks for lunch to take them to school. The house was located in a quiet residential area with all facilities . My bedroom was very spacious with natural light, a comfortable bed, a desk, three closets and near to the room a bathroom that even I had to share it I always used when I needed it. The house was very near the bus stop who takes you to Dublin city center in 20 minutes.The public transport is really good there. There is something that I am very grateful to them,and is that the day of my birthday they gave me a surprise celebrating it as I didn`t expect it. I appreciated it very much. I really recommend to go to Dublin and stay at Emanuela and Neil´s home whit their two lovely dogs. You are and you will be my Irish family forever. Thanks for making this experience unforgettable. Emanuela and Neill are a very caring couple with two beautiful and friendly dogs. During my 3-month-stay I had a very good time with them. While both are good chefs, the ones who love spicy food should try Neill's chilli one time.

Me and my friend stayed at Emanuela's place during our student exchange in Ireland. She was a wonderful host and we loved to live there. House is nice, clean and in a great location. We absolutely recommend the place.

This was our first time using homestay and we loved it. Emanuela is an amazing girl, warm, friendly and very helpfull. We really had very nice time.The house and rooms are very clean.Always a great atmosphere with the other guests.If we ever need accommodation again we know whom we will call first. I recommend it!

Don't be shy, just apply ! Those three weeks spent with you were awesome !!! I recommend your house to all those who likes good food, kind people, helpful advices and giant dogs ;) You showed me the secrets of Ireland and I miss you a lot !
