My wife and I live in a very well-located apartment, two blocks from the tourist and residential district of Miraflores, the modern center of Lima. We rent out two of our apartment's rooms. We are happy to welcome visitors who come to us. I am an avid traveler, a Google Local Guide Level 8, a tour guide, and a chef, all of which helps make our guests' stay more enjoyable, rich in special experiences. We speak English, Papiamento, and Spanish and would love to share our experiences and stories with you and your group, and hear the ones you share with us. Our interests are traveling, cooking, discussing global geopolitics, fixing the world with our big ideas (yes!), trying every kind and brand of olive oil and coffee we can, and collecting Peruvian banknotes and coins. The rooms I offer are very spacious, fully furnished, and have a wall-to-wall built-in closet. The first room has ample space for three single beds, or one double bed and one single bed; it has a private bathroom inside. The second room can accommodate four single beds or one double bed and two single beds; the bathroom is right next door. Very close by, within walking distance, is Huaca La Merced, an archaeological site of the Ichma culture, which flourished between 900 and 1470 AD. There are also parks and walking areas, pharmacies, bakeries, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, two shopping centers, and more. Regarding your safety: the apartment is located in a safe neighborhood, with security guards (street surveillance provided by the municipality), and 24-hour security in the building.The apartment has a security door and a safe in each room. Optional hospitalization insurance for accidents or illnesses, as well as theft insurance, is available if you wish. We have a wide selection of teas and infusions, as well as organic coffee, which are freely available in the kitchen, which is accessible to you. The dining room, living room, and common areas are also at your disposal. The building has an outdoor exercise and relaxation area. The apartment has Wi-Fi, flat-screen cable TV, a washer/dryer, ironing board and iron, and hot and cold water in the bathrooms and kitchen. Please note that use of the washer/dryer is free for guests with a minimum stay of four days. Only my wife or I will service the machine. A welcome fruit basket and/or flowers are included, as well as a daily newspaper for Spanish-speaking visitors.A small cake will be offered free of charge if any of our guests celebrate their birthday during their stay with us. Your stay excludes room cleaning and bed making, but we will change the bed linens and the double sets of towels provided every third day. Your stay includes a very light complimentary breakfast, but we can offer (and recommend) our memorable local-style breakfasts for an additional fee. You can also ask Chef Vitti to prepare heavenly lunches and dinners. Finally, you have the option to cook for an additional fee. Breakfast: USD 6.00 per person Lunches: USD 12.00 per person Dinner: USD 12.00 per person Cooking: USD 12.00 for food service SPECIAL: For stays of 4 or more nights, and if your group consists of at least 4 people, I offer these extras completely free (tour guide and chef fees are included; entrance fees, food, supplies, and/or transportation are excluded): 1. Guided tour of an artisan center to learn about different types of Peruvian handicrafts. If you wish, items can be purchased as souvenirs and gifts. 2. A free tour of the fabulous Magic Water Circuit, a Guinness World Record holder for the world's largest water fountain complex in a public park, and the water fountain with the tallest geyser: 80 meters high. 3. Interactive visit to the Surquillo Market, which includes: a. Peruvian fruit tasting. b. Purchase of ingredients to prepare the invigorating Algarrobina Cocktail. c The purchase of fresh fish and seafood for the preparation of the internationally famous ceviche. d Upon arrival back at the apartment, the group will assist Chef Vitti in preparing both dishes. 4 Evening visit to a "carretilla" of anticuchos (the delicious Peruvian pinchos or skewers). If you need contact with specialist doctors to fix your teeth or cure your cigarette addiction, I will be happy to direct you to some specialists. RESERVATIONS: Please note that I require you to pay one (1) day of your stay in advance to reserve it (separate from the 15% commission Homestay.com charges). You can make your payment via PayPal, or by bank transfer to a bank account in the United States, Europe, Peru, Curaçao, or Venezuela. The remaining payment must be made upon arrival via instant credit: cash in soles, US dollars, or euros, PayPal, Bitcoin, XMR, ETH, credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB, or Discover), or ACH transfer (United States). Other services you would like to pay for during your stay, such as meals, tours, etc., may be paid for using these methods.
