My name is Elias, Gaby and I welcome you to stay in our home in MedellÃn. We have 1 double and 2 Single rooms available for homestay guests. Our home is conveniently located 4.5 km from central MedellÃn, 30 minutes walking to city center, 10 minutes walking to the metro station and the stadium where you can find a public open gym. We also have 2 public bikes stations near our home Where you can take a bike for free and use it for 1 hour. Gaby is 70 and enjoys learning foreign languages and gardening. She speaks Spanish Elias is 69 and enjoys sports, reading, socialising, travel, nature, and science. He speaks Spanish You can use the kitchen or we can provide meals if you prefer.

I loved my stay with Elias and Gabi. Alas it was cut short by the Coronavirus outbreak. They are very friendly, and although they speak v little English and I spoke v little Spanish we managed to communicate. The apartment was clean and comfortable and conveniently located for my language school. The Road outside was busy, but the location was safe and had many restaurants close by. Gabi and Elias were very patient and spoke slowly and clearly in an effort to help me understand. I mostly ate out but breakfast/lunch/dinner when I had it was delicious and fresh

I am so glad I chose to stay with Gaby and Elias on my first trip to Medellín, and I would definitely stay with them again. They are warm, friendly, helpful people that made me feel right at home and helped me with my Spanish. I miss them already! Their home is in a great location with easy access to everything you need. Highly recommend!

I agree with all the positive things said previously by others. My son (15) and I just spent 8 days with the family and had a blast. They were very accommodating, nice, and sincere. What a great experience for my son and I. I highly recommend staying with them if you get the opportunity.

I stayed at the House of Elias and Gabi for almost 5 weeks with another friend. They were both super friendly and helped us a lot. In the beginning, our Spanish was pretty bad, but they spoke slowly and took care of teaching us new words as well during a conversation. The flat is very nice and the rooms & beds are clean. It was a pleasure for us to stay the time with this family. Muchas Gracias a Elias, Gabi & Andrea por ser tan buenas personas :)

I went to Medellín with the objective of experiencing Colombian culture and to improve my abilities in spanish. I am happy to say that both of these objectives were accomplished, in great part due to my hosts (Gaby and Elias). I am naturally enthusiastic about learning but they aided in immeasurable ways. They are very kind, giving and fun! They were always a ready source of information for me and were uncommonly helpful, friendly and accomodating. I felt like I had at least a couple of Colombian culture and spanish classes everyday. They allowed and aided me in participating in their culture and their lives. It was a great experience staying in their home and being their guest - they always made me feel welcome and I am fairly sure the other two guests at the time would say the same. I would do it again with no reservations. Hats off to Gaby and Elias!!!!!!!!! A pleasure meeting and getting to know them. I will miss them very much, but I plan to return.
