I'm tino architect and amateur musician.. living with my two 20 and 25 y.o. daughters... The house is basic but comfortable, near interesting city sites, Oaxaca is one of the 4 most important cultural sites in the world.. we try to be environmentally friendly and like arts, culture and concerts, we have a nice house in the mountains too, and we speak the native language of that village, where we produce coffee. So you can have a cup of coffee every day.. we fell comfortable, receives people from other cities, other countries and cultures.

For me a homestay is always a perfect way to start into a new unknown city. Tino and his family are so welcoming and open that I really feel sorry that we haven‘t had more time to talk and stay with them. The great hustle between trying to see as much as possible in Oaxaca and spending time to get Tino & family better to know. Thank you for everything ( great breakfasts / good stories / insights into your life and the culture ) and especially for the last minute shopping of the balloons for our daughter’s Christmas gift. Outstanding service . All the best from Thora,Silje,Lone and Sven

A really lovely and kind family. I had a wonderful stay with them. It is about 20 minutes’ walk to Centro from here. Highly recommend staying here.

I feel «At home» with Constantino and Aneira. They already introduced me to their friends. My room is quiet and comfortable and well ventilated. I have nice warm blankets for cold nights....and the mountain air is pure and fresh, here in Santa Lucia del Camino (Oaxaca). I am happy to stay an EXTRA MONTH !!!!

Constantino fue un anfitrión perfecto: muy gentil y amistoso. Me dio muchas recomendaciones para los días de los muertos y pasamos la ultima noche tomando mezcal juntos, mientras tocaba canciones mexicanas en la guitarra. Su casa es muy acogedora y la habitación es simple, pero tiene todo lo que se necesita.

Constantino was very helpful via email before I arrived, was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station when I got to Oaxaca and welcomed me warmly. However, he had a family event he had to go to and left on my second day there. This would have been fine if he had assigned an appropriate person to take over supporting me, but the person he chose was not at all supportive or helpful. As the whole point of a homestay is that support, I found this to be most problematic and left to go to a hotel. The accommodations were acceptable but the kitchen and refrigerator were very dirty and I wouldn't have even considered using them. With all that being said, I believe Constantino had the best intentions and circumstances undermined them.
