It was a nice apartment with my own entrance on top of the owners house. I didn’t use the kitchen. The bathroom was clean. But most of the time the water wasn’t really hot. But I didn’t care because I don’t need to take a hot shower in Cuba. The main room has space for up to 3 persons. But i think for 2 persons it would be perfect. I had a nice terrace for me alone. My host was very helpful and speaks (just) Spanish and her daughter also German what helped me a lot. We had a small talk almost every day. I would come back because i really loved my apartment and for living Vedado, close to the 23rd street, is much better than the busy city. Nearby you can find some small restaurants. I have been in „Balcon Habana“ several times for lunch. It’s just a 12 minutes walk (21st street, e y f). You need 30minutes to the Malecon and around 1,5 hours walking to the Capitol. With a taxi it’s just 12 minutes (capitol).

nous avons passé une semaine chez Barbara à la havane et nous la recommandons personne très sympathique ,attachante logement indépendant avec toutes les commodités pour manger prendre le bus taxi aux alentours .déjeuner fantastique jus de fruits frais et variés de saison nous y retournerions volontiers.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und entsprach der Beschreibung und der Fruchtsaft jeden Morgen war echt lecker. Den Punkt Abzug gibt es dafür, dass die Selbstdarstellung nicht den Tatsachen entsprach. Barbara ist keine junge Frau mit Kind die Englisch und Deutsch spricht, sondern eine kubanische Oma die nur Spanisch spricht. Die Tochter spricht Deutsch wohnt aber woanders. Sie kam während unseres Aufenthaltes mehrmals zu Besuch und war uns sehr behilflich. Sie hat uns sogar zur Silvesterfeier der Familie eingeladen. Das Fazit: Die Familie ist sehr nett, dass Zimmer schön, die Gegend angenehm, mit etwa Sprachkenntnissen wäre es perfekt gewesen.

Nice big room with a kitchen and its own terrace. Barbara was well organized, made great breakfasts and was able to answer a lot of questions we had about Cuba.

Barbara was an amazing host! The apartment is nicely sized and clean, and with a patio that is perfect to spend some time on to recharge between outings. She also makes fabulous breakfasts with eggs, fruit juices and fresh fruit - a great way to start the day! Not only that, she also arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and arranged for the return taxi as well. We would highly recommend her!

Meeting and staying with Barbara and her extended family was one of the highlights of Havana. Barbara is a marvellous host. The breakfasts were outstanding! Fruit, coffee, eggs, pastries, but best of all were the fresh fruit juices whipped up in the blender! We also enjoyed meeting her daughter Irina and granddaughter Flavia. Irina is a fluent English speaker and we had great conversations. The apartment is just perfect! The main room is large and airy and has a full kitchen. Bed was comfortable. The main room opens to the lovely terrace, which is like a conservatory with all the ferns and plants. There is a comfortable table and chairs on the terrace, and also lines to hang your washing. I enjoyed the bustle and activity of comings and goings on the street below, although some might find it a bit noisy. To get to the apartment there is the tightest circular stairway I've ever seen, but once in the apartment all is well and you are soon enjoying sitting outside on the terrace. It is a lovely place to come home to.

We didn't stay with Barbara due to a problem (which we didn't quite grasp due to the language barrier) She did however organise for us to stay with her friend Pedro and his lovely wife which turned out really well.

Barbara is great ... very kind, helpful and joyful. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at her place. The space is on the top floor (and private), has a beautiful patio with lots of light. The room is well appointed, spacious and clean, with a kitchen and large, cheerful bathroom. Breakfast was very good and so was the coffee! We would definitely stay there again.

Le studio est spacieux, très propre et bien situé. la terasse est agreable. Barbara est adorable et de bons conseils. Nous avons d'ailleurs renoué pour le départ. Je recommande vraiment
