Inside, tall beamed ceilings, wood floors and exposed brick walls nod to the home’s history with antique-inspired furnishings creating an almost villa-type atmosphere that’s as dreamy as it is bohemian. We love the French doors that open out onto romantic Juliet balconies with views of Plaza de Jacinto Benavente below. With the bed facing the picture windows, you can wake up and enjoy your morning coffee first thing while people-watching from your fourth-floor vantage point. With a beautiful stained-glass adorned bathroom and a working fireplace to cosy up next to on cooler nights – a glass of Spanish wine in hand – you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing, stylish stay. Outside of your home, Madrid’s famous shopping street, Gran Vía, is a ten-minute walk away, Plaza Mayor is five minutes on foot, the Prado Museum is walkable in fifteen and beautiful El Retiro Park is a twenty-minute stroll from your door.
