We love the whitewashed, minimalist interiors, which combine contemporary furniture with period touches, like the period stone fountain next to the glass fireplace. Cooking together with the whole gang is like a celebration – you can whip up a storm in the huge kitchen or make use of the gas grill outside, to be enjoyed at leisure on the terrace. There’s an excellent set-up for alfresco dining, so you can live as the locals do and dine late into the evening under the stars.
The grounds are at your sole disposal – you can stroll through the orchard or spend entire afternoons lounging by the pool. When the sun gets too much, cool down with a swim before you retreat into the shade of the palms and lemon trees.
If you can tear yourself away, you'll find cafes, bodegas and a weekly Wednesday market in the nearby town of Villafranca de Bonany – it’s just a fifteen-minute drive. If you long for sand and surf, the beaches of south-eastern Mallorca are within easy reach too – the ever-popular Es Trenc is twenty-eight minutes away.
