Views of the sparkling blue Aegean greet you from every angle, and there are four decked terraces to enjoy them from. Start your day with sunrise and an early-morning yoga session in the fresh air, and round things off with alfresco dinner prepared by a private chef.
The villa’s lofty location adds to the tranquillity, but there’s plenty of action when you want it. Pyrgos – Santorini’s best-preserved medieval settlement – is just a short drive away. Time your arrival for noon, when locals tend to meet up outside for meze or ouzo. Mesa Pigada beach is just a five-minute drive from the villa, so sun-worshippers in your group will be satisfied. We spent a thoroughly pleasant afternoon getting lost in the narrow streets of Fira, which, in addition to being utterly beautiful, is great for shopping.
Some guests might not be able to tear themselves away from the villa, and it’s easy to see why. The pool alone is reason enough to stay, whether you’re swimming lengths or reading a book while dipping in a toe or two.
Make full use of the barbecue by grilling some local halloumi to serve with fruit and honey. When the sun dips low into the sky, pop open the bubbly and slip into the hot tub. It’s a remarkable spot for stargazing.
