An architect-designed remodel of a war-era 'prefab' bungalow, its new lease of life has allowed its form to really shine, with contemporary styling that just begs to be photographed.
Set on a quiet, leafy road, it sits within carefully landscaped gardens, where tropical planting creates a sense of privacy and a large deck gives you somewhere to hang out together in the sunshine.
Inside, the sociable layout makes everyone feel right at home, with vaulted ceilings, a comfy seating area and huge sliding doors to the garden. The kitchen is stylish and unique, with everything you'll need for cooking at home, and you'll soon spot that painted MDF panels and built-in furniture are a bit of a theme here.
Our favourite room in the house, the master bedroom, is bright and spacious, with a big pivot door leading to a little lawned area outside. Elsewhere in the main house, there's a second bedroom with digital all-in-one gym equipment, two stylish bathrooms and a pretty nursery, while the guest house in the garden can be your fourth bedroom or maybe an office if you'll be working during your stay.
Just a short walk from some great places to eat and drink, this place is handy for hiking in the hills, visiting Los Angeles Zoo, Downtown LA, Silver Lake and much more, too. A bang-on-trend combination of vintage good looks, clever design and super smart technology (think lightning-fast broadband, an electric vehicle charger, multiple streaming channels and Bose surround sound) we think this home is sitting pretty – in pink.
