This chic apartment is the perfect place to stay for a jaunt to Barcelona. It’s in the vibrant neighbourhood of Gracia, which is a food- and fashion-lover’s dream location – everywhere you turn there’s a cool new eatery or a designer boutique.
The apartment has beachy vibes and an Indonesian aesthetic, so it’s relaxing and laid-back – but you still have everything you need for a fantastic break. After a day of seeing the sights or soaking up the sunshine on the beach, it feels like returning to an oasis. There’s even a rooftop pool and solarium – this place has it all.
Head out first thing and grab a coffee to set you up for the day. You’re conveniently close to everything, but you’ll still want to stop and refuel every now and then – happily, eating and drinking your way around the city is one of our favourite ways to get to know a place, and Barcelona was made for it.
Coffee in hand, walk eleven minutes to Casa Mila to admire Gaudi’s brilliance. His handiwork is evident throughout the city, but this is our favourite way to take it in. Maybe pop into a couple of shops nearby, or meander to La Sagrada Familia. Easily one of the most beautiful sights in the city, it’s a mere seventeen minutes on foot from the apartment.
After a lengthy lunch of tapas and wine, hop in a cab for twenty-one minutes to reach Barceloneta Beach. Soothe your aching feet in the refreshingly cool water and lie in the sun, soaking up vitamin C.
