Bandol is one of the most visited towns that lie along the Côte d'Azur, it's a fabulous spot where you can find some truly wonderful homes – case in point, this address is only a couple of streets over from the port.
It feels remiss to start anywhere other than the wonderful palm-lined outdoor space, which, while modest in size, has both loungers for soaking up some rays and a Jacuzzi big enough to squeeze in seven. There's a contemporary sheen to the interior, from the Scandi-inspired furnishings and whitewashed walls to the modern kitchen dominated by clean lines and smooth surfaces. The bathrooms look as if they've been plucked out of a spa and we also love the hanging chair in the bedroom that is just the spot to get lost in a good book.
When it comes to filling up your itinerary, you're simply spoilt for choice. The golden sands of Plage du Grand Vala are a kilometre or so down the coastline and there's a great choice of restaurants around the port to head to come evening time. Once you've exhausted Bandol – which may take longer than you anticipated – Marseille is less than an hour away by car.
