If you love to make an entrance, you'll be smitten with this home perched upon the banks of the River Douro. You are, of course, more than welcome to arrive by car, but there's also the option to travel by boat from Pinhão or a local farm and alight at the private pier.
Whatever means you use to show up, you're sure to be instantly wowed by this remarkable address, one of two neighbouring homes that date back to 1876. While the exterior is traditional in appearance, the interior has been thoroughly modernised – and the home even comes with its own chef.
When it comes to days out, you'll have an on-site villa concierge to help arrange excursions and ensure you make the most of the UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounding this home. The valley is famous for port production, so visiting a winery for a tasting is a must – but there are also boat trips and hiking routes to keep you entertained.
*The kitchen is to be used by staff exclusively. Essential use such as fridge, kettle and microwave is authorised.
*If you want to cook meals yourself, an additional fee of 250€ will apply. Alternatively, you can hire a chef directly.
*There are parking spaces 50m from the house, and the host will help you with your bags for this final stretch
