Behind the front door, guests will find an interior that embraces Andalusian tradition and contemporary flourishes. The whitewashed walls, wooden ceiling beams and pretty patterned tiling throughout are typical of the region's design, but there's a chic taste in furnishings and finishes that wouldn't be out of place in a slick city apartment – the large kitchen is a triumph, to say the least.
This being a part of the world that enjoys a fair share of sunshine, you're probably wondering what there is on offer in terms of outdoor amenities. Down at ground level, there's a plant-covered courtyard with lots of seating and an alfresco table, while there's also a balcony on the top floor that looks out over the glistening Med. And as if that wasn't enough, you also get access to a communal swimming pool, plus courts for tennis and padel, all shared with other residents on the estate.
If you prefer the real thing, you can head over to the neighbouring Casablanca Beach – mere footsteps from the front door – and paddle in the sea instead. It's easy to find watersports and aquatic excursions in the local area, as well as a good selection of restaurants and beach clubs. Marbella's charming old town doesn't take long to reach in the car, either.
