This great family holiday home is perfectly situated in the village of Carvoeiro and is within walking distance of the town centre. Ideal for families or groups of friends with the 10m x 5m pool providing hours of entertainment. Outside dining area with sea views provides the perfect area for outdoor lunches on lazy days where you don't want to venture far. The built in BBQ is perfect for cooking dinner with the best offerings of the day from the town market....along with some great local wines and beers. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there is plenty of space and the good size pool, set in a grassy lawn, will no doubt provide the focal point of the holiday. The spacious covered terrace provides plenty of shade away from the sun and a perfect spot for outdoor meals.
The villa is approximately 1km from the town beach in Carvoeiro and a short walk from the town, with several world class beaches a short drive away. Location
Casa do Alto is situated in the area of Carvoeiro, spreading out over acres and acres of coastal stretch, distance to the Ocean varying from a few meters(!) to several hundred meters. One can walk down to the atmospheric center of town about 10-20 minutes, alternatively a taxi is cost friendly. The urbanization consists solely of detached pool villas on very good plots, all ensuring a very high level of privacy. There are no evening- and night activities, population is mix of international residents and tourists, The urbanization is much appreciated for its almost cliff top location, mostly offering nice sea- and country views. Magnificent beaches, several golf courses and Carvoeiro Clube de Tennis nearby. Carvoeiro is a traditional fishermen's village, fortunately having kept an authentic atmosphere over the years, making it to one of the most popular villa holiday destinations in the Algarve. The center looks down onto a small beach bay enclosed by rock formations, Praia do Carvoeiro, slopes with original building style properties enclose this picturesque scenario, its square is renowned. This little square right in front of the beach with numerous restaurants and bars around it is an absolute must to stroll around. In Carvoeiro huge tourist complexes have never been allowed, herewith ensuring the lovely village character which makes Carvoeiro so popular amongst both residents as well as tourists, offering renowned ice creams almost at the beach square, furthermore a wide variety of Portuguese- and international cuisine restaurants.
Still an attraction is the little municipal market, where you can buy fresh bread, meat and fish daily, the 'bica' (traditional Portuguese espresso) cannot be left untried. At its two center beaches, several traditional fishermen's boats invite to go and see the caves - you see beautiful rock formations and caves, made by the 'hands of nature', especially at low tide, especially from the sea you have a fantastic view over the impressive Algarve coast line with its golden sand beaches and magnificent rock formation raging up to 50m vertically out of the Ocean.152705/AL
