Forest Property Amazonia: 1860 ha, for carbon credit, 2000 mm rain, tropical rainforest, participation in CO2 acquisition
General Description and Characteristics of the land:
On offer is a property of 1840 ha area, part of a larger florestal and ecological area of 52.454 ha in the municipality of Envira/Amazon region (for further information about the region please see below). The property was originally purchased by the current owner Martin Piribauer in 2009.
Modalities: on offer is not the complete sale of the land, however a participation in Carbon Credit purchase (CO2). The participation can start at a minium value of 10.000 Euros (5000 tons of CO2). Maximum: 446.000 Euros for the entire CO2 rights – that is 223.000 tons). It is registred under the deed number 078, book 2-0A of the General Register (Envira). All documents and inscriptions (ITR, ITEAM – Rural Institute of Amazonia) are in order. It is located on the right bank of the Tarauacá River, 1,218 km in direction and 3,496 km across the river from Manaus. 100 km from Eirunepé and 80 km from Feijó, in the state of Acre. The vegetation is largely ombrophile, and the main traditional uses are either rubber production of forestry. The land is ondulated, with slopes and several hills, with partially strong inclinations. The soil is largely sedimentary (clay soil) as well as alluvial soils. The main hydrographic elements are the rivers (mainly the Tarauacá and Envira) as well as the high annual precipitation. The climate is tropical, the equatorial subtype with 2000 mm per year.

About Envira and Surroundings:
It is located in the Juruá microregion, mesoregion of Southwest Amazon. As in the entire Amazon, the forests of upland, floodplains and igapós stand out. All this vegetation is part of the extensive and largest tropical rainforest in the world: the Amazonian Hylea. The soils are of upland – of the lateritic type: red soils of the humid and hot zones, whose main chemical elements are aluminum hydroxide and iron, suitable for the formation of bauxite and, therefore, not quite suitable for agriculture. Floodplain soils are the most fertile in the region. They are young soils, which are periodically enriched with organic and inorganic material, deposited during the flooding of the rivers. The flora of the state presents a great variety of medicinal plants, among which andiroba, copaíba and aroeira stand out.
The Amazon has 98% of its forest area intact, as its economic vocation was diverted to other activities following the reorganization and expansion of the Manaus Free Trade Zone in 1967.
