The house
This is one of the very many abandoned farmhouses here in Umbria. Over time the farmers left for the villages and changed their methods, families got smaller and there was no more need for these homes. The ground floor still features the original stables and the traditional external staircase leads up to the living quarters on the first floor. The house merits a renovation and it's worth saving it although one can always decide to demolish an rebuild. These interventions obviously lead to completely different outcomes, one aiming for authenticity, the other one for modern features.

Art and architecture, craftsmanship, wine, olive oil, slow food and enchanting accommodations. The holiday home rental market has been booming for years as well.
