The building
The ancient farmhouse used to be the center of a busy family life but has been abandoned a long time ago. It sits on the highest part of its own private hilltop with stunning panoramic views in every direction. Weather and lack of maintenance took their toll but it is still easy to imagine its charming and natural appearance. Some of the ground floor rooms are in reasonable condition and the old wood oven is still intact. The roof has in most places collapsed so the first floor is hardly passable. The stone walls consist of grey stone from the local quarry and can be recycled during renovation or construction work.

The land
The access is fairly easy via a dirt road that runs through the woods and fields up to the house. The part where the building are located is mainly flat and the land slopes down gently on all sides. The real estate offered for sale is part of a larger property made up of biological arable land and woodland. This means the exact shape of the 1 ha land that is included is to be determined and the land needs to be split. If desired it is possible to purchase additional land up to 18 ha total. Near the house there is a nice fish pond and a well can provide water for the house, garden and pool.
The area
The municipality of Avigliano Umbro covers quite an extensive territory. Ancient but lively villages, friendly people and a diverse scenery create a wonderful and welcoming place to live.
