Bikes and motorbikes are available We are a small Hue family of six and living in Hue years ago. locating inside Hue Imperial City which was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years date back from 1805 until 1945. As its royal and central location, You would find no better place to taste Hue food either at my family (Mum was a retired chief) or nearby street vendor shops – local and tourist restaurants and experience traditional Hue people living in the area or nearby Kim long and Huong Ho garden houses. We are also very close to main tourism attractions like Purple Prohibited City (500m, 5min walk), Thien Mu pagoda (10 minutes cycling), Perfume River (800m, 8mins walk). The house you are staying used to be American Army buildings during the Vietnam War. The American built these buildings on the holy site of Xa Tac Esplanade where the kings conducted Royal ceremony Xa Tac Rite to pray for nice weather, prosperity and national peace. This rite is still on these day annually. My wife and I are both working in international NGO for decades so you would find no communicative difficulty in English (some Norwegian and Chinese) and we should know where to respect your privacy like a hi-end hotel and where to share our family routines openly like a cousin visiting our home.
