Whether you're soaking in the hot tub or floating in the long rectangular swimming pool, there's nothing like relaxing in a desert oasis with rugged scenery on all sides. Natural light floods the open-plan living room where stylish sofas sit under a riot of modern art on the walls, and there's even an office inside should you wish to pen your own masterpiece. The kitchen may look pleasingly minimalist, but tonnes of cupboard space holds all the mod cons necessary for a master chef-level meal. A twenty-five minute-drive will bring you to the gates of Joshua Tree National Park, while Downtown Joshua Tree is twenty minutes away by car. However, we totally understand if you'd rather just stay at home and explore this five-acre plot of land. Do some yoga on the patio before lighting the vintage fire pit and gazing up at the stars – this is utter perfection.
